Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the IntroEdits website and the IntroEdits application (the "Service"), operated by Music Library Tools LTD ("us", "we", or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. Your access to and use of the Service depends on your acceptance of and compliance with them. They apply to everyone who visits, uses, or otherwise accesses the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, you may not use the Service.
Free accounts and Pro
IntroEdits is free to download and use. A free account can save 3 finished edits per calendar month. The count resets on the 1st. Everything else in the app — your library, every beatgrid option, the loop source picker, the vocal lead-in, and as much auditioning and listening as you like — is unlimited on a free account.
An edit is counted when it is saved, not when it is started or rendered. Work you abandon, cancel, or decide against costs you nothing.
IntroEdits Pro removes that limit and costs £9.99 per month. It renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from inside the app. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not give partial refunds for the remainder of a period.
We may change the number of free edits or the price of Pro. If we reduce the free allowance or raise the price, we will tell you before it takes effect.
Your music, and what you make
This is the most important section on this page.
IntroEdits only ever processes audio files you already have on your own computer. We do not supply music, and we grant you no rights of any kind in any recording you process with the Service.
You are responsible for holding the necessary rights to the music you edit, and for how you use the edits you make. That includes public performance, broadcast, streaming, distribution and sale. An edit you create is a derivative of the original recording, and the rights in that recording remain with whoever holds them.
Making an edit of a track you own for your own DJ use is ordinary practice. Distributing or selling edits is a different question, and one you should take proper advice on. We are not able to advise you on it and nothing on this website or in the app should be read as permission.
You agree not to use the Service to infringe anyone's rights, and you accept responsibility for any claim arising from music you process or edits you distribute.
What you get
You may install IntroEdits on Macs that you own or control. Every edit you create is an ordinary audio file on your own drive and remains yours — whether you made it on a free account or a paid one, and whether or not you stay subscribed. Cancelling Pro stops you making new edits beyond the free allowance; it does not affect edits you have already made.
The Service is licensed to you, not sold. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the application itself.
Analysis accuracy
IntroEdits estimates tempo, beat positions and bar lines from the audio, and suggests drop points from that analysis. This is an estimate. Some tracks — live recordings, tracks without a steady tempo, heavily edited masters — will be analysed imperfectly, and the app gives you the controls to correct it precisely because it can be wrong.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any analysis, any suggested drop point, or any finished edit. You should listen to an edit before you play it out. The audition step exists for that reason.
Acceptable use
You agree not to attempt to circumvent the free monthly allowance, to share or resell access to a Pro account, to reverse engineer the application except as permitted by law, or to use the Service to process material you have no right to process.
We may suspend or close an account that does any of these, or that is used in a way that damages the Service or other users.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Signing in and checking your account require an internet connection; separating and rendering do not, because that work happens on your own machine.
We may change, add or remove features. We intend to support IntroEdits long-term and have no plans to discontinue it, but like any software it may eventually be discontinued or its support reduced for technical, commercial or other reasons. If that happens, you will not be entitled to compensation for that reason alone, beyond any unused portion of a subscription period you have already paid for.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app before they take effect.
Refunds
The free tier exists so you can find out whether IntroEdits works for you before paying anything. We would rather you used it than asked for a refund afterwards.
If you subscribe and the software does not work as described, or has a material defect we cannot resolve, you may request a refund within 14 days of your first payment. Refunds under this policy do not apply to change of mind, to non-use, or where the software has been used successfully. We may ask for details to verify that the issue qualifies.
For payments outside the 14-day period we may, at our discretion, refund on a case-by-case basis. We are not obliged to do so. All refund decisions are final.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for loss or corruption of data or audio files. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
IntroEdits writes new files; it does not modify your originals and never writes to your DJ library. You remain responsible for keeping backups of your music.
